Welcome! This page is for Streamcast, the Perl-based MP3 HTTP file streamer. Currently (Dec. 2005), Streamcast supports connections to Icecast v1 and Shoutcast servers. Below are notes for a rewrite of Streamcast, and what features the planned rewrite will have once work on the rewrite begins. There currently is no timeline for rewriting Streamcast, like most Open Source projects, work towards the project is in addition to what the developers already do in thier "regular" lives.
